Stop this TOC!
Totally Over Crowded!

Oakville is facing a critical moment.

The Province has signalled its intention to impose four Minister’s Zoning Orders (MZOs) on Midtown Oakville—forcing through a revised Transit-Oriented Community (TOC) plan that Town Council, professional planners, independent analysts, and the community overwhelmingly agree is unworkable, unsafe, and unprecedented in its density.

Despite months of clear evidence and unanimous Oakville Town Council support for Official Plan Amendment (OPA 70)—a responsible, high-density plan that meets all provincial housing objectives—the Province is accelerating the TOC and moving ahead before hearing the full facts from Oakville.

Thanks to your strong public pressure and the Town Council's request, a high-level meeting with the Ministers is now scheduled for December 11. But unless they hear directly from Oakville residents before that date, the Province may proceed unchecked.

This is the moment where numbers matter.

We need every Oakville resident to send the message:

  • We oppose the current TOC

  • We support OPA 70

  • We expect the Province to work with Oakville, not override it through MZOs

Some decisions appear to be advancing without transparency. That makes public action even more essential. The more Oakville voices involved, the harder it becomes for the Province to ignore the community.

Click the red button to send a pre-written message directly to Minister Flack and Minister McCarthy.

Your email urges them to:

  1. Withdraw the four proposed MZOs, and

  2. Direct Infrastructure Ontario to work with the Town to implement OPA 70 as the guiding plan for all of Midtown Oakville.

Oakville has always delivered growth. We are not fighting housing—we are fighting for smart, livable, successful planning that builds homes faster and protects our community’s future.

This is the moment to stand up together.

Let’s make sure the Ministers hear Oakville loud and clear before December 11.
